Getting ready....

Today I finally started to get ready for my birthday. I bought most of the grocieries I need and decided which cakes I'll make, PLUS I cleaned my appartment, pretty much for one day.
Tomorrow three of my friends will come over to my house to have a little get-together, on Tuesday (my birthday:)) my family will come to my appartment have coffee and cake and then we will go out to eat to my favourite Italian restaurant.
Actually I wanted to buy a new harddrive for my notebook today but my mom told me I should wait until Tuesday.... A possible gift??? I'll let you know! Hopefully I can upload some pictures by then.

Notebook is broken...

Saturday morning I wanted to use my notebook, like always but it froze every 5 minutes!! I gave it to a friend to look at it and he told me yesterday that my harddisk is broken. Now I have to buy a new one so that he can build it in... While I'm waiting I have to use my parent's computer wich is way too slow!!!! That's why I can't upload any pictures or so.
Today was a beautiful and sunny day so we worked all day in the flowerbed to make it ready for summer. Now it looks really nice. Pictures might follow :)

I'm a big girl now :)

Since we have always a couple weeks of school and then some weeks to work at the hospital, today was my first day of school again and we were told to come to the office right after school, because they wanted to tell us if we get a job in our hospital or not.... So I waited 7 hours and was way nervous!!!! When it was my turn, 2 jobs in the unit I wanted to work in were already gone, so I was pretty discouraged, but they told me I got a job, too!!!! Pediatric intensiv care unit!!!! I know it's the same town I always lived in, but I'm just happy that I know what to do in September! I have another job interview on May 28th in Aachen, which is a way bigger hospital. So it's still not settled what I want to do, but at least I have something and really something I want to do. I canceld the job interview in Cologne right away.....

News on the job market

I got a phone call yesterday from the university medical center in cologne. They told me that they won't have anything in the pediatric clinic, but at the neurological rehab. I've never worked at such a ward, but after the job interview I'll work there right away for a day. I looked it up on the internet, there are mostly patients after a stroke or brain suregery with intensiv care. Sounds quite interesting I think, so I will see if that's what I want to do!
